  • "Dr. Seetha was neither forthcoming nor realistic with my mother’s outcomes. My mother trusted her and Dr. Seetha gave her false hope. She told my mother she has a very good chance of living a very long life, (even though she was almost 80) & without the chemo, she would have about 5 months. My mom kept telling her she doesn’t feel good, she’s forgetful & sleeping all the time, weak and shaky to the point where she couldn’t sign her name or put her clothes on without help. The doctor just kept telling her she will be stronger feel much better & back to normal when the chemo stops. My mother believed her. Chemo was stopped before her cycles were finished because her platelets dropped and she declined so rapidly thereafter. The doctor kept insisting even at the end when my mother was in the hospital, waiting for hospice, that she needed PT, VNS, biologics. The staff at NY Blood & Cancer Center was incredibly rude. After my mother was already in hospice I was called because they said Dr Seetha wanted to make an appointment for my mother to come in to be seen, and I said are you crazy? My mother will be lucky if she lives through the weekend, she is nonresponsive and dying, and the woman raised her voice & was not very compassionate. I was not treated with respect, even at the end of my mother’s life. No one deserves to be spoken this way or hung up on, especially in a time of grief. After all, we’ve been through after 5 months of chemotherapy and false hope the doctor never contacted me to even extend her condolences. My mom thought she was getting a second chance on life, but what she got was a big fat lie. We could have planed better for the end if we had been better prepared. Untruthful, unrealistic, discarded after death like she never existed, not even an afterthought. Shame on you Dr Seetha."

  • "I don't normally write things like this. My late mother had stage 3 ovarian cancer that spread everywhere. She was dying. This "doctor" told my mom on her deathbed that she was giving up. And told me that her blood was on me and my brother..she died the next day. She wanted to do another chemo.on her when the first and only chemo.she gave her put her in the hospital in ICU with double pneumonia. She did not have any compassion for my poor suffering mother when my mother decided to stop treatment and lied to my brother and I about her prognosis. Very unprofessional and insane doctor."
