Dr. Guo is a well-trained highly skilled Medical Oncologist, Hematologist and Internist.
Dr. Guo treats a wide range of adult complex oncological diseases, while focusing on gastrointestinal cancers, pancreatic and hepatobiliary cancers, breast cancer, prostate tumor and lung cancers; She also treats hematological disorders including Multiple myeloma, lymphoma, chronic myeloid and lymphoid leukemia, Myelodysplastic Syndrome, anemia and platelet disorders.
Dr. Guo provides patient-centered, unmatched care with empathy, compassion and humanity. She practices evidence-based, individualized medicine, using multi-modal diagnostic and therapeutic approaches including cutting edge gene-based targeted strategies and immunotherapies. Dr Guo received a MD from Harbin Medical University in China, where she graduated at the top of her class; She earned a PhD degree in Cell Biology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Guo completed her Internal medicine residency and Hematology-Oncology fellowship training at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, where she served as the Academic Chief Fellow. She also completed specialized training in medical oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Guo has extensive research experience, particularly in the field of gene therapy. She has published a book chapter and over ten original research articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented her research at numerous national and international conferences. Dr. Guo participates in various clinical trials conducted at New York Cancer & Blood Specialists to advance cancer care by developing innovative therapies.
Her commitment to serving her community earned her recognition with a Community Outreach Award and honors for her distinguished front-line service during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Guo is passionate about mentoring the next generation of doctors. She is affiliated with the Mount Sinai Hospital and Northwell Health/Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. Guo is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), American Society of Hematology (ASH), American Medical Association (AMA) and the American College of Physicians (ACP).
