Byung Kim, MD, is a board-certified hematologist-oncologist committed to an individualized approach to care. Dr. Kim treats all types of cancers but is particularly interested in thoracic and GI oncology.
Dr. Kim earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Hematology-Oncology Fellowship at Roger Williams Medical Center/ Boston University, where he served as Chief Medical Resident. Previously, Dr. Kim practiced Hematology and Oncology at the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care. He was the former Chairman of the Cancer Committee and Medical Oncology physician leader for the National Accreditation Program for Lung and Rectal Cancer at Maine General Medical Center.
In addition to English, Dr. Kim speaks fluent Korean and Spanish.
