Robert Hendler, MD is a skilled physician who earned his medical degree from St. George’s University of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in hematology and oncology at Stony Brook University Hospital. Dr. Hendler has been dedicated to research since 2013. He assisted with the study, the design, and co-authoring the grant proposal for a pilot clinical study to investigate the role of probiotics in colorectal cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. Dr. Hendler was also heavily involved with the research and analysis of clinical trial publications on the adverse effects of Ipilimumab. Dr. Hendler has developed quality improvement measures to enhance his patients’ experience. He is experienced in current hypertension management strategies in diabetic patients and aims to provide the best possible care. Dr. Hendler spends his free time hiking, cooking, swimming, reading literature and meditating. He has numerous publications and is currently board certified in internal medicine.
