Sergine Delma is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who brings warmth, expertise, and a deep commitment to patient care. Currently completing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice with a specialty in oncology at Columbia University, Sergine combines advanced clinical training with a genuine passion for helping patients navigate their healthcare journeys.
Sergine believes in empowering patients through education, ensuring they understand their treatment options and feel supported every step of the way. Beyond direct patient care, Sergine is dedicated to improving healthcare quality and equity.
Sergine previously served as a Quality Manager at VNS Health (formerly Visiting Nurse Service of New York), where she ensured patients received the highest standard of care. At Columbia University, she conducts research on artificial intelligence to optimize nursing documentation and reduce bias, and has presented internationally on AI applications for predicting and managing Type 2 diabetes.
Beyond the clinical and research settings, Sergine is the co-founder of the Columbia Nursing Pathways Collective Club (CNPCC)—a student-led initiative that connects nursing with technology, consulting, and entrepreneurship. Through this work, she creates interdisciplinary spaces that empower the next generation of nurse innovators to lead “beyond the bedside.”
Her leadership extends into community and professional organizations, where she serves as an advocate for health equity and workforce diversity.
