Dr. Noshir DaCosta is a Board Certified Physician in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology.

Dr. DaCosta received his Medical Degree from Seth G.S. Medical School, University of Bombay, India. He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at LaGuardia Hospital, New York. In 1992, Dr. DaCosta achieved his Fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at SUNY Stony Brook, University Hospital.

Dr. DaCosta has published numerous studies in Hematology and Oncology in peer reviewed medical journals. Dr. DaCosta has been a lecturer in Clinical Pharmacology and Cancer Biology in the University at Stony Brook School of Medicine. He is currently clinical assistant Professor of Medicine at University Hospital Stony Brook. In addition, Dr. DaCosta has been an Institutional Principal Investigator for NSABP breast cancer protocols. As well as receiving Castle Connolly and Newsday Top Doctors every year since 2012.

  • "Once I found out I had blood issues I found my first hematologist and he was ok but not good enough for me and it just about cost me my life . I knew I had to find someone that would listen to me and care for me the right way .my first doctor just about nearly killed me I had a huge bleeding event and it wasn’t good . DR DeCosta was the best he listened and that’s what I needed . Without his care I would had a clot go straight to my brain or lungs and what’s wrong with me is hereditary, which means I get it from both mother and father these jeans I have the Protomen gene. I have factor five liden also the MTHFR GENE . Dr Dacasta saved me and did what needed to be done for me . I got everything from my mother and Father . Awesome Awesome doctor. I don’t have much more to put he is the best ."

Dr Dacosta was able to diagnose my leukemia and prescribe the right treatment immediately and I was quickly in remission and remain in remission for over 5 years now. Jen, NP follows up with me and we enjoy our chats once the lab reports are reviewed and the good news is confirmed. Great people right down to the nurses, receptionists and phlebotomists. 5 star service! They saved my life!"
