  • "I never wait long after arriving at the clinic. Starting with a greeting from the security guard at the door upon arrival, to the front check-in, before you know it you’re having your blood drawn. This team always gives a warm welcome because they understand that it is not easy to always be stuck with needles. I’m still waiting to see beautiful art work on the walls, but I did enjoy my welcome gift pack I recently received. Everyone always try to make you feel as if you’re not sick at the Brooklyn cancer center. Unlike some clinics that I visit, I never have to wait a long time. Even if the waiting area is full, I can’t say that I’ve had to wait more than 20 minutes to start my visit. Other clinics, I’ve had to wait up to an hour before seeing a doctor. I’m sorry that I have to deal with cancer, but I’m happy to be part of a clinic that shows patience and compassion to their patients. I feel in good hands with Dr. Shulimovich and his team. Anyone who says that Dr. Shulimovich is rude or not a good doctor is TOTALLY mistaken. He asks questions and help you express how you are feeling when you’re lost for words. In my opinion he is stern, yet caring because his concern is for your health. When a doctor gives a patient instrucciones, it’s usually for the patients own good to follow them and not bite the hand taking care of you. Thank God for any who don’t like Dr. Shulimovich that there’s another hospital with clinics in NJ or Manhattan. Oh wait, I forgot Dr. Shulimovich worked hard for years to get the Brooklyn Cancer Center established in the downtown Brooklyn area accessed to the major bus and transit lines so we won’t have to travel so far. Of course, unless you choose to do so. - Yolanda B."

  • "Dr Hysenaj was wonderful. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly and patiently let me write it all down. Then Dr Shulimovich came in, was rude and impatient. He needs to shadow Doctor H, pay attention, and learn how to talk to patients."
