Dr. Gina Villani is a board-certified Hematologist-Oncologist. She served as the Chief of the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at New York-Presbyterian Queens for over 8 years.
Dr. Villani completed her Doctor of Medicine at State University of New York at Stony Brook before completing her fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at New York University Medical Center.
With over two decades of experience, Dr. Villani has held many leadership positions, including Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer at the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention, where she significantly advanced cancer care for underserved populations. Dr. Villani is also an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Her dedication to health equity is shown through her commitment to the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), where she addresses health disparities and advocates for policy changes that benefit all cancer patients. Dr. Villani has received numerous accolades, including the American Cancer Society’s Woman of Excellence in Medicine.
Dr. Villani is a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (FASCO), and holds a Master's degree in Health Policy from Columbia University.
Her professional interests include lung cancer, particularly in non-smokers, and she has developed several projects focused on this area.
