Dr. Amar Parikh is dedicated to providing compassionate care while focusing on the clinical and social impacts of cancer treatments across diverse communities.

With a special interest in understanding how treatments affect patients as individuals, Dr. Parikh's research has focused on optimizing cancer treatment protocols. He is committed to maximizing his patients’ quality of life while delivering effective treatment.

Dr. Parikh received his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University before completing his residency at the University of Illinois Chicago, and his Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Stony Brook University Hospital, where he also served as Chief Fellow. Prior to medical school, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Chemistry from New York University.

Dr. Parikh has worked extensively with ethnically and socioeconomically diverse populations. He has volunteered at free clinics serving asylum seekers in Syracuse and uninsured residents in Chicago's communities.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Parikh has taken on multiple leadership and wellness-focused roles, recognizing the importance of fostering supportive, healthy environments within medical teams. He is passionate about mentoring medical students and residents, having participated in programs like the Shadows of Health Program and the Introduction to Patient Care Program during his training, and continues to prioritize mentorship and well-being initiatives in his professional practice.
