Candice Hulse, M.H.A., PCMH CCE, is the Senior Director of Organizational Development and Strategic Alignment at New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS). She is responsible for managing and supporting the assessment of organizational needs as well as the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs to facilitate an environment focused on professional development and continuous learning/improvement for team members. Additionally, Candice partners with Third Party leadership to develop products supporting the organization's narrative, providing strategic recommendations to SMEs and leadership on how to best elevate milestones and ensure all key stakeholders are informed of progress, wins, and opportunities for improvement. Before her current role, Candice held a Regional Director title at NYCBS. Her responsibilities included: employee engagement, continuous quality improvement efforts, and oversight of location operations for the 7 Medical Oncology locations along the North Shore of Long Island. Before joining NYCBS in February of 2020, Candice worked as a healthcare consultant, managing practice transformation for healthcare facilities across Long Island, ensuring practices met and sustained value-based care requirements. New York State contracted her firm to function as Project Managers under the NYS DSRIP Initiative. She then worked as the Corporate Compliance and Quality Manager of a Stony Brook Southampton Hospital-affiliated multi-specialty group on the East End of Long Island. In addition, Candice led the NYS DSRIP Suffolk County Pilot program for implementing the Regional Health Information Exchange (RHIO) in primary care and specialty offices to facilitate enhanced secure information sharing to improve Suffolk County's patient health outcomes. Candice is thrilled to help meet the needs of the hematology-oncology community. NYCBS allows her to combine her passions of driving down healthcare costs, improving population health outcomes, and increasing access to top-quality care. Candice obtained a bachelor's and master's in healthcare administration at Stony Brook University. She now serves as a preceptor to graduate students seeking hands-on experience in the healthcare field.
