Andrew Kanner is a dedicated healthcare leader with over 30 years of healthcare experience, including more than 20 years as a registered nurse and over a decade in senior operational leadership roles. He joined NYCBS following his tenure as Vice President of Operations at Pathway Healthcare, where he successfully oversaw a network of more than 40 behavioral health and substance use disorder clinics across six states, standardizing clinical workflows and driving organization-wide growth strategies.
Andrew’s diverse background spans hospital systems, outpatient care, behavioral health, addiction treatment, and multisite operations, blending clinical rigor with business acumen. He is known for building high-performance, people-centered teams, leading EMR integrations, optimizing revenue cycle and compliance workflows, and nurturing trust-based, values-aligned cultures through periods of rapid change and expansion.
Andrew earned his Master's degree in Health Professions Pedagogy Leadership from Hofstra University and his nursing degrees from SUNY Farmingdale and Nassau Community College. Beyond his formal education, Andrew brings something invaluable to healthcare: genuine care for patients and a commitment to making sure every person who needs medical care receives the best possible treatment.
