Desmond Graham Appointed Vice President of Laboratory Operations

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) announces the appointment of Desmond Graham to Vice President of Laboratory Operations. Graham will continue to oversee all laboratory sites and operations, ensuring guideline adherence and quality.

“Desmond has made a significant contribution to the development of our lab processes," said Dr. Jeff Vacirca, chief executive officer of NYCBS. "He has demonstrated exceptional skills as a strategic leader, team builder, and champion of laboratory operations. I’m confident he will continue to exceed expectations." 

Graham has worked for NYCBS since 2016 and has held many positions: Medical Assistant, Lead Medical Assistant, Lab Quality Assurance Personnel, Regional Lab Director, and Senior Director of Laboratory Operations, eventually working his way up to this exciting new role with hard work and dedication.

“It is an honor to show my children that any goal is attainable with hard work and dedication,” Graham said. “My future goals are continued education and to continue to bring comprehensive laboratory testing to our patient population.”

Graham accrued his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Healthcare Administration at Purdue University and is currently in the process of obtaining a Doctorate. Desmond is a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served for eight years and is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
