New York Cancer & Blood Welcomes Renowned Medical Oncologist, Dr. Gardith Joseph
New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS), one of the Nation’s leading oncology practices, is proud to announce that board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist, Dr. Gardith Joseph has joined its practice. Dr. Joseph has over 25 years of clinical experience, and will be practicing at 2236 Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11210 and 5202 Avenue N, Brooklyn, NY 11234.
Dr. Joseph brings a distinguished career in cancer care, clinical research, and medical education. She will provide comprehensive, patient-centered oncology services to the Brooklyn community.

Dr. Joseph received her medical degree from the University of Seville School of Medicine in Spain and completed extensive training in General Pathology, Internal Medicine, and Hematology/Oncology at leading institutions including SUNY Brooklyn/Kings County Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center/Northwell Health System.
An accomplished researcher, Dr. Joseph has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and national conference abstracts on complex cancers, including breast, pancreatic, and hematologic malignancies. She has participated in pivotal clinical trials with the NSABP and has authored influential case reports highlighting rare cancer presentations.
Dr. Joseph has made a significant impact on the African American population and underserved communities, advocating for improved cancer outcomes and health equity. She is a pivotal member and leading speaker for the Haitian-American Medical Association Abroad (AMHE), frequently lecturing internationally on breast cancer, healthcare disparities, and advances in targeted therapies.
Dr. Joseph has been recognized as one of America’s Top Oncologists by the Consumers’ Research Council of America and as one of the region’s Best Doctors by New York Magazine Castle-Connelly, LTD. She has also received the Women of Distinction Award from the New York City Council.
A dedicated advocate for health equity, Dr. Joseph is fluent in French, Spanish, and Creole, allowing her to connect with diverse communities in Brooklyn and beyond.
