Steven Montana, DO is board certified in hematology and medical oncology. He has been a practicing medical hematologist and oncologist on Long Island, NY since 1998.
Dr. Montana received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Hofstra University in Hempstead, before attending The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY where he received his D.O. During this time, he also completed a rotating internship at Saint Clare’s Hospital and Medical Center. Following his internship, Dr. Montana completed his Internal Medical Residency at Saint Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center and then continued to Stony Brook University for his fellowship where he participated in basic science cancer research studies.
Since then, Dr. Montana has been the co-author of several medical publications. Dr. Montana treats patients at our Port Jefferson and Smithtown offices. Many of his special areas of interest include gastrointestinal cancers, lung cancer, lymphoma, and malignant/nonmalignant hematology.
