Dr. Deepali Sharma graduated with a degree in medicine from the Mahatama Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in India, where medical training intertwines with Gandhian values of simple living and high thinking. She completed her residency at New York Methodist Hospital in 2006. She was also the chief resident at New York Methodist Hospital. Following her Residency, Dr.Sharma completed her fellowship in Hematology and Oncology in 2011, also at New York Methodist Hospital.
After her fellowship, Dr. Sharma joined the Eastern Long Island Hematology Oncology team in 2011. She brings a perpetual passion to the practice, as she believes that “oncology is the most dynamic and challenging field of medicine” and is constantly “motivated to be a better physician and improve the lives of oncology patients.”
Dr. Sharma is board certified in Medical Hematology and Oncology. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology and is also a clinical assistant professor at the New York Institute of Technology.
