Employee of the Month - Loren Ebert
New York Cancer Specialists is pleased to announce our latest Employee of the Month: Loren Ebert.
Loren is a cancer survivor turned Patient Advocate. Since her recovery, she volunteers her time to personally visit the infusion patients and provide “goody bags” that contain many useful items for the chemotherapy patients during their treatment. These items include: bottled water, mints, hand lotion, lip balm, snacks and puzzle books; which are not only very useful to the patients, they also act as a convenient way for her to introduce herself to them and offer hope, conversation, love, and support. Most of all, Loren just being there lets them know they are not alone!
The overwhelmingly positive feedback we have received from patients who have met and sat with Loren is the truest testament to how much she deserves this honor. The patients are so grateful that someone like Loren thinks of them in their time of need and support that many are overwhelmed emotionally when they speak of how her very presence as a Patient Advocate has touched their lives.
